NEED ASSISTANCE BUILDING YOUR MENU?

Drinks by Season...

Beyond setting up and bartending your special event, we proudly offer the service of helping you build your perfect menu. It can be a daunting task to figure out how much you need to have to keep your guests happy, remembering all the bar essentials and deciding what tasty beverages to choose. Is your group a beer loving group? Or perhaps your crowd is more apt to go for a delicious boozy cocktail, maybe there will be more wine lovers?  In any case, we help you figure all this out by asking the right questions and suggesting seasonal options that will appeal to the masses!

Below are some suggestions for cocktails based on seasonal flavors and moods. I’ve tried to incorporate a cocktail with a different spirit in each season to appeal to an array of drinkers. This is all just a guide to offer some different options and by no means is all we will serve. If you have a favorite cocktail let us know! And if you want to be cute and clever and rename a drink to fit the theme of your event, even better!!

FALL: As temperatures start to cool down the booze starts to heat up. Drinks tend to be more full with flavor, there’s a heaviness to the cocktails themselves, and if the drink is served hot, even better for those cool autumn nights! Ciders and bourbon are my go to fall faves, but there are so many more flavors to keep you trying a new drink every night of the season, and I’ll list some goodies below!!

MULLED WINE - Red Wine, Orange Juice, Cider, Honey, Cloves,Cinnamon, Anise

THYME WILL TELL - Bourbon, Maple Syrup, Lemon Juice, Thyme

OLD FASHIONED (My fave!!) - Bourbon, Sugar, Bitters, Orange/Cherry Garnish

THE MARGUERITE - Tequila, Grapefruit Juice, Sherry, Maraschino Liqueur

APPLE CIDER SANGRIA - Cider, Prosecco, Dark Rum, Apples, Cinnamon, Cloves

NEW YORK SOUR - Bourbon, Simple Syrup, Lemon Juice, Red Wine

WINTER: Oh my gosh, there are so many wonderful flavors during this season! (This might honestly be my favorite time to sip on cocktails!!!) To name a few there’s, cinnamon, peppermint, and cranberry, but we certainly don’t have to stop there. Fresh fruits that are particularly wonderful this time of year include the pomegranate and blood orange. As far as spirits, gin makes a wonderful base for a winter cocktail due to its aromatic nuances of juniper and cardamom (just a couple of flavor profiles that can be found in the fascinating spirit) and well bourbon can never be beat! Look at the list below of some of our favorite winter cocktails!

HOT BUTTERED RUM - Dark Rum, Butter, Spices, Brown Sugar, Hot Water, Fresh Whipped Cream

THE RESOLUTION - Gin, Simple Syrup, Lemon Juice, Rosemary

WHITE CHRISTMAS - Espresso Vodka, Peppermint Syrup, Cream

IRISH COFFEE - Irish Whiskey, Coffee, Sugar, Fresh Whipped Cream

SPRING: Oh thank goodness, the days are getting longer and the weather is getting warmer (hopefully)! There is an overwhelming sense of renewal and growth this time of year that has everything to do with the freshness and new life that Spring has to offer. Berries come into season starting in April and May and herbs are beginning to sprout. Cocktails seem more bright and refreshing, and lighter in a way. Here are some of our faves...

MINT JULEP - Bourbon, Mint, Simple Syrup, Crushed Ice

One of the simplest ways to make a cocktail taste amazing is to use fresh ingredients. When we make a cocktail, you can rest assured that everything that can be is homemade and fresh from a local source. We pride ourselves on making our own simple syrups, mixes and shrubs. All fruit is picked up locally when possible and juices are squeezed fresh for your event.
